Over 20 Years Experience & 100 Silent System Installations
Understanding Silent HVAC
Over the past 20 years, we have worked in mastering studios, recording studios, control rooms, live rooms, voice booths, and home studios across the UK and internationally.
These environments demand highly specific solutions because of the sensitivity of the equipment and the effect air movement can have on room acoustics. Creating a truly premium system is not simply a matter of adding attenuators. Designing a silent system requires careful consideration of unit positioning, air speed, airflow, and noise and vibration transmission.
We integrate our systems into the fabric of the building by producing working drawings and liaising closely with architects, ensuring the installation does not compromise the acoustics of the space. The result is a system you cannot hear, see, or feel running.
From Kate Bush and Brian May to local producers, we work on projects of every scale. We provide free consultation and advice, along with free quotations and preliminary designs.
True silent HVAC requires specialist engineering. Silent HVAC must be integrated into the building fabric — ductwork runs hidden through ceilings and walls with vibration-isolated mounts. This means silent systems are only suitable for new builds or major renovations where walls and ceilings are being opened up.
To achieve real silence, a ducted system is essential — not wall-mounted units. Air flows through acoustic-lined ductwork that absorbs sound, then passes through dissipation boxes that slow airflow and eliminate turbulence before delivery. The result is completely imperceptible climate control.
Our Process
Design
Every silent system starts with a site survey. Unit placement, duct routing, sizing and plenum boxes — get these right and the system becomes imperceptible. Full 2D and 3D working drawings, backed by 28+ years of experience.
Installation
Airtight seals, anti-vibration mounts, acoustically lined ductwork and flexible connectors. Every fixing is made with noise control in mind — this can't be retrofitted once the walls are closed up.
Maintenance
Silent systems don't stay silent on their own. Dirty filters, worn bearings and loose seals gradually introduce noise. Annual maintenance keeps your system as quiet as day one.
